Like I’ve said earlier on, colour is very important to me and I love how this artist uses splashes of colours such as red and blues to create an impact on the scene he is painting. His paintings are quite dramatic that concentrates on huge landscapes showing the power of nature.
His work is influenced by the great landscape painter J M W Turner.
Turner was an English Romantic landscape painter who’s style is said to have laid the foundation for the Impressionist’s. Although he was considered as an artistic figure in his day, he is now regarded as the artist who elevated landscape painting to an eminence rivalling history painting.
His working is visually pleasing to all, and creates a relaxing, soft atmosphere.
